William's Story
After high school, I got into computers. After bouncing around for many years, I ended up with a great job as the IT Director for a large auto parts distributor in Parsipany, NJ.
All good things come to an end and the company closed its doors in 1999. I looked at this as an opportunity and uprooted myself and moved 1800 miles to Austin, TX. I'm working for Activant Solutions, which is the world's largest privately held software company. I'm a computer systems consultant, which takes me all over Texas.
Just a few months after arriving here, a friend got married. At the wedding, in Mexico, is where I met Patty and we were married two years later. In 2006, Ian was born and our lives changed dramatically (as anyone with kids knows). I love being a husband and a father, and life couldn't be better.
