William's Story
I am and have been a professor of Landscape Architecture at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa for the past 35 years. I have also taught at the University of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia for two years, while there I also lectured at The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), and the Swinburne Institute,(1981-83); one semester (1996) at the University of Western Australia, Perth, Western Australia.
My children Mark 42, lives in Denver, Daughter Shay 36, lives in Chicago, and daughter Ashley 30, lives in Ottumwa, Iowa. I have five grandchildren, Anna, Sofie,(Mark) Sydney, Hayden and Mayson, (Ashley). Daughter Shay was married early June of this year.

We have lived in Ames since 1975, with a two year absense 1981-83 and myself a seven month absense in 1996.
My wife Tari and I have been married for 42 years.
May 14, 2010 I retired from Iowa State University after 35 years of teaching in the Landscape Architecture Department. Presently still living in Ames, Iowa but hope to move to our Lake home near Milwaukee, WI within the year. It will proide the opportunity to maybe rekindle friendships with high school classmates and other friends in the area. Many different things to look into at this point in time so we will go at it slowly.
As of mid-December 2011 we have moved from Ames, Iowa to our lake home near Oconomowoc, WI. We have enjoyed the change and looking forward to renewing friendships and starting new ones.
