Hey, y'all !! Contrary to most folks best guesses, I did not seek a career as an actor, but I loved doing plays with the theatre club at Sandia. Actually, I began a career in the U.S Army in 1966. Go Figure!! I initially trained an Infantryman, small arms expert and Sniper at FT Ord, Ca.. For the first year and a bit I served in Viet Nam. I returned to the U.S. and was selected to attend a one year course in emergency treatment of medical and minor surgical diagnoses (a P.A. sort of job) and had a position on a surgical ward at Ft. Riley, Ks. as an Independent Duty Senior Medic . I would still serve as a sniper/medic when and where needed, usually with small Ranger teams looking for bad guys in this place or that place, or some other nasty place. Usually in Central America. I continued to spend time as a medic, usually with infantry units doing field training. After spending a few more years in Texas, Italy, Turkey, etc. I applied for long term schooling while at Ft. Bragg, N.C. I earned my MSN in admin, and another in Comm.Health At UNM grad school, I then continued my duty as a Hospital and field RN, serving at Fort Carson, Honduras, El Salvador and Ft Bragg, N.C. etc. As time pa...Expand for more
