William's Story
...if you remember me at all, it would be as 'Danny' ...my Drill Instructor refused to have a 'Danny' in his training squadron so it's been Bill or William ever since :)
...drafted straight out of CHS ...they sent me to Michigan State to finish a BSEE, did my tour, then worked defense contracts for ITT, mostly overseas, never came back to Cocoa until '94 on my way to open a new office in Ft Lauderdale ...could not believe surfing was off-limits at the jetties ...and how much the area had grown ...housing developments where we used to hunt cottonmouths ...retired now ...bought a small farm in the Appalachian foothills of SE Ohio a couple miles north of the riv...Expand for more
er ...met my wife overseas, 2 kids, one of which we lost at 22.
...not too many memories from CHS ... the last two years I only attended half days and worked 8hrs a day at Fields on Merritt Island because I couldn't live with my step-mother ...made for a short social life ...I remember Ann whose mother owned a flower shop on Merritt Island ...Nancy from a school talent show that I MC'd ...a Wendy who lived in a dream home with an indoor pool ...and Joan that I took to the Senior Prom ...other than that, I recall getting paddled by the Dean for fighting ...skipping school because my shoes had holes in the bottom ...and surfing off Patrick ...not much else :)
