William's Story
Graduated and immediately started a job at the Ypsilanti Ford plant. Had my 90 days in before I turned 18. Got laid off in October 1979. No jobs to be had. Enlisted in Army in 1981. Served 4 years. Had a blast in the Army. Got out in 1985 and worked odd jobs until July 1987. I got hired by Ypsilanti Township Fire Department. Played Firefighter/EMT for a little over 21 years. The last 12 years there I worked with Jim Anguilm and some on my own doing roofing and some construction. If you need a roof get a hold of Jim or me before you hire someone else. Any way due to my military time I was eligible to retire after 21 years. I was going to keep working there until Greg graduated, but discovered that my retirement take home pay would be more than if I kept workin...Expand for more
g. So now I am doing the roofing and construction full time. Probably will until Greg graduates. Got married in 1993 and as you've probably seen have 2 beautiful kids. Luckily, so far they have been 2 awesome kids. My wife, Lisa is from Westland. We met playing softball.(I played that game for 37 years and still play once in awhile) She is the photographer so we have very few pictures of her for me to post. I am looking for one of her that she would approve of to post. It's not easy finding fairly current, flattering pictures, when your wife has about 30 gigs of photos on the computer to go through. Still live close to Belleville, in Saline. Really would rather move up north but have been over-ruled by wife and kids. Still I am fairly content here in Saline.
