William's Story
I came to FUHS in 1959 during my freshman year from a school in Indiana. I lived with my Aunt and Uncle in the last house on the left just before you went through the N.A.D. gate. (Naval Ammunition Depot) if you are not familiar with the letters. My Uncle at that time S/Sgt Mike Goddard served in the Marine Corp at Pendleton and I guess that makes me a Marine Corp brat. The only extra activities that I did was the C.C.C (California Cadet Corp)being in a military family my uncle expected me to be spit shined and squared away. 61 I entered the Navy and finished my high school through a GED six months later. I guess I was pretty much of a loner because of moving around so much. It was hard for me to make friends and then have to pick up and leave. After the military I started my own trucking business and operated that business with success for 35 years after which I retired. I now live in southeast Texas where the fishing and the weather is hot. What I would like to do now is find some old high school members that might remember me and fill me in on all the stuff I can't remember like teachers
