William's Story
High School was so long ago. Right after High School, Larry Kilday and I joined the Navy. At 19, I became a man after the first rocket attack in Saigon. For almost 24 years, I served my country and saw a lot of the underbelly of the world. In 1993, our goverment asked me to help reestablish the country of Kuwait and I worked as a civilian contractor for a little over three years over there. When I came home, I had enough of war, guns, and all the things that go with it. I took a year off to do nothing. My wife and I had invested well and I needed a rest. After a year at pool side, I went back to school and became a certified real estate appraiser and have been running my own business for the last 12 years. . I think I turned out better than a lot of my high school classmates thought I would.
In 1990, I married my best friend, some of you might remember her as Patty Lannon. We have been happily married for 20 years. Together we have three beautiful, well adjusted children, with families of their own. Four adorable grandchildren with one more on the way in May. Together, Patty and I have travelled the world. Our favorite vacation is cruising. We don't care where. Just first class and someplace beautiful. We like being tourist, not explorers. I have had enough of that. I am sorry I missed the 40th year class reunion. We both really wanted to attend. Life is good for us. Patty and I sincerely hope it is for all of you. Hope to see everybody at the 40th.
