William's Story
77 West grad. Partied & worked misc. jobs until 23yrs, at which time i grew up and joined the Army Dental Corp in 1981. Shortly thereafter i obtained custody of my 2 son's,Brett 5yrs. old and Sean at 3yrs.old, of course no longer married to my high school sweety Rhonda Buckley. Got deployed overseas to Korea in 1983-1984. Sure missed my boys then. Real interesting country. Returned in late 84 & got stationed at Ft.Lewis,Tacoma. Moved to olympia with my boys for a few years, then moved into Ft.Lewis housing until i PCSed/ got orders to tranfer to Ft Richardson,AK. all by choice & very happy for it, that was 1989.After five and ahalf years stationed at Richardson i decided to get my Merchant Mariners Captains License and be a charter boat Cpt.In may of 1994 i got an Honorable Discharge from service and bought ...Expand for more
10 acres on the Little Susitna River in Wasilla, Alaska. Cleared the land & built my own house,well i'm still at it too.lol. Ran a number of fishing charter boats over the years in Ninilchik, Ak. for halibut & salmon.In 2004 i began operating out of Homer,Ak. much more scenic and many more species of fish to catch. Operated for K-Bay Charters up until 2008, at which time my wife jessie and i decided to buy K-bay. Lots of fun, fishing, bill's,headaches,boat repairs,employee difficulties and did i mention bill's,lol.Anyway we made a smart move & just last month 3/30/2010 we sold it. Now we can travel and just go play for us when we want. Hurray.And now you know the rest of the story. Left out my stay in Hawaii & other cool stuff, didn't want to seem to long winded.lol.
