William's Story
Janet Smith divorced me 20+ years ago and left me with two teenage daughters... that is okay by me. I re-married a year later to my Roe who is the greatest LADY on the planet. And, added a third teenage daughter to our family.
The girls are grown and have kids of their own... and we have five grandchildren. Melissa lives in Austin, TX and has two boys, Benjamin and Graham. Leslie lives in Vero Beach and has a son Alestair. Tammy, lives in Leesburg, VA and has a son Wil and a daughter Molly. All are doing well considering the economy, etc.
Roe and I live in a nice gated 50+ community in Lake Worth(less), FL. Roe is busy with clubs almost every day and I am still working.
I retired about seven years ago. After three months of Oprah and feeling like a pain in the ass to my golfing buddies who were still working, I hired myself in my company Mulligan (you know second chance) and got back in the 'li...Expand for more
fe'.
I have been working the golf course business for over thirty years and continue to call on my friends selling fertilizer and chemicals. Don't make big money but it pays some of the bills and it beats laying around the house. I take off on Fridays and spend the day with my Roe.
Healthwise... nothing major to report for me or for Roe. I do have 'severe carpel tunnel' in both hands and it hurts me big time just to type this missal. Have had the surgeries but not successful... lost 60% of strength in right hand and 80% in the left. Really messed up my golf game!!!
Being in the golf business all of these years, I joined seven golf associations around the state and in Myrtle Beach. Proud to say I have won well over 100 tournaments thru the years. Until the carpel tunnel came along a few years back, I was still a 0 to 6 handicap. Now with a lot of pain and hard work I can finally break 100.
