William's Story
Thirty seven years later...... Went into the Navy immediately after graduation to see the world, I ended up as a combat medic for the Marines, spending a year in Japan and then Twenty nine Palms California. After a serious Car wreck I was medically discharged and returned to Port Arthur. Being an Army brat to begin with, I was restless and spent the next 15 years in various jobs traveling throughout Texas and then Rutland Vermont for 3 winters. n Waco studying Biomedical Equipment Technology. After 10 years at UTMB in Galveston I have ventured on and am currently serving as Director of Biomedical Engineering for a hospital system in Greenville, South Carolina. Happily married for 34 years, I have four grown children and 9 grandchildren scattered throughout the country. For fun my wife and I ride motorcycles throughout the country and play the regional Irish Folk Music Group Kellee. The family moved from the area so I don't make it to Port Arthur very often.
