William's Story

I would be delighted to hear from classmates and friends from my time at Central Catholic (1962-66). After Central I attended Carnegie Mellon, then transferred to Pitt. The Army got me, then got me again when I was smashed up by a 5-ton truck towing a howitzer. I was fortunate to have an exciting career as a crime & politics reporter for the Pitt...Expand for more
sburgh Post-Gazette, and later as associate editor for Pittsburgher Magazine. I retired as Manager of Publications for UPMC in 1995 and work today as a self-employed writer & editor. There were 2 unsuccessful marriages -- one long, one short -- and I'm blessed to have a 35-year-old son. I had the privilege of raising him by myself in Point Breeze.
