William's Story
Retired for the last ten years, I am finally getting to enjoy the landscaping and the home in Coventry, CT that we built almost thirty years ago. Many days, my vehicle doesn't leave the property. Instead, I take a walk around and decide which of the seasonally dependent outside projects needs my attention the most. I have cleared the brush, nearly to the corners, and spend many days keeping it that way. I'm almost finished building a patio and fire pit from big flat stones I found on the property. It's been functional since last winter and I use any excuse to have a bonfire.
I'm a fly fisherman and travel to New Brunswick, Canada twice a year for a week Atlantic Salmon fishing. I've been taking an annual trip to Patagonia, Chile to fish for trout. I'm a member of a trout club in Stowe, Vermont and spend several weeks there with my wife, Pat, invited friends and family, and other friends who are members. In the Spring and early Fall, I fish for a few hours in the early morning, nearly every day I'm home
I'm a pheasant hunter and have an eleven year old English Setter and a German Shorthair Pointer, who is two. I hunt with them, in season, nearly every day.

an, who fathered a Grand Daughter, who is seven, and lives close enough that we can kidnapper her nearly every month, for a couple of days. My other son, Michael, gets high marks for owning a home in San Francisco, overlooking the city and the Bay Bridge, that has become our favorite bed and breakfast.
Pat and I sold our second home in Vermont last May and are traveling a bit more. Last year we toured in Wales and went to the Ryder Cup. Those familiar will lament with us that our tickets were for Friday, the day that was almost totally rain delayed.
I still maintain a friendship with two classmates:
Phil Bruce, who lives in Del Mar, CA, and was my 'best man', has been here for prior reunions and we have tripped, in the traveling sense, with Phil and his wife Peggy. We maintain contact on Facebook, email, and occasional phone calls, more frequently as reunions approach.
Warren Strong converted his "1800's" home into , "The Fitch Claremont Vinyard Bed and Breakfast" He and his wife Nora manage it in Fitchville, CT. and also grow grapes and make lots of, prize winning quality, wine. He forgets me, but responds well to invitations, self invites, and is generous with the wine.
