Hello, In high school all I cared about was motorcycles, and "hot" cars, just passing time, to get thru school. As time went on, I realized that personal, and spiritual, growth was really more important. I'm just looking to say hello, to old friends, and hopefully make some new friends, too. Out of high school I hired into Great Lakes Steel and worked ther for almost 31 years. I started out on the railroad, and worked as a switchman. tired from GLS in 1998, and was retired 5 years to the day. In 2003, the parent company of great lakes steel, national steel was taken over by U.S. Steel,and all the retirees lost 65% of our benefits, and took a bite out of our pensions. In fact they gave our pensions to the Pension Government board which is broke! So I decided that I better get back to work, so I was fortunate to get a job at the Norfolk Southern RR. I actually go by the sight of our old Junior High. I'm not thrilled to be working at this age, it's certainly not what I planned, but I am thankful to have a job. Thanks for reading !
