Bill's Story
Since graduating from BHS in 1969, my life has been a series of adventures and misadventures, some of which are worthy of remembrance, some of which are best forgotten. (Maybe this could be said of all of us!) After graduating from UTC, I married, remarried, and was blessed with four perfect children, who have since become four extraordinary adults, and am now the grandfather of ten grandchildren (and counting). ne of the great highlights and privileges of my life was attending and graduating from the Pensacola Bible Institute (1986-1989). I was a muddle-headed agnostic in high school, but became a Christian immediately after graduating, and my relationship with Jesus Christ has grown deeper and stronger with every passing year. Having freelanced for print magazines for fifty years, I have now embarked (of all things!) on a series of young adult novels, the first of which, "The Abduction of Cassandra" (2021), is available from Amazon (see photo). In that novel, I have shamelessly tweaked the names of several of our classmates, although none of the characters are based on the real people. After living in Ohio, Florida, and Reno, Nevada, I have finally settled in North Carolina. My memories of BHS, and my classmates, are enduring and positive . . . although personally embarrassing far too often!
