William's Story

Phd, Army Officer, Professor, father, pilot, entrepreneur, blah blah blah...not bad for the kid everyone picked on..haha..thanks GPHS...I think? So after I managed to escape GP at the ripe old age of 17 I found myself on the doorstep of Oregon State University... Yeah that happened. So after a 4-year blur of really bad beer and questionable decisions I somehow found myself with degrees in business and biochemistry... Not sure how that happened. Anywho after that I found myself at Notre Dame nerding out once again only to find myself in the military a few years later. Fast forward a few years and presto!...this son of a bi!$# is an officer. So I figured it must have been the uniform because soon after here comes this good looking gal who's like "hey, I like you and I think you like me...wanna hang out the rest of your life with me" ...well yeah....why not? A few years later we have a miniature version of my self for shits and giggles, buy a house, sprinkle some labradors on it, bake a...Expand for more
t 450...and wham!...family. Lifes been pretty good to me! These last several years I've had the privilege to learn and teach in some of worlds finest countries and along side their militaries, making me a better person, soldier, and leader along the way. When im not running all over this ball of dirt, I'm usually hiding out with the family in Idaho, sailing in the San Juan Islands, or trying to perfect my takeoff and landing on some back country airstrip. Pretty lame sh!$. I never really saw myself going back to GP, however I was recently reminded of it when....and you cant make this crap up...i saw a Dutch bros in Boise...i mean seriously? The damn GP coffee mafia made it all the way to Idaho...ha...that happened. Anyway..it kinda made me miss the place. Its interesting to see how many never left, and how the towns turned out. Maybe I'll make a detour sometime...grab a burger at pipers if its still standing...and take a walk downtown. We'll see. I wish the very best for all of you.
