David's Story
Life
My life has been great. I have traveled to alot of places in the world and can say that i really miss being in the USA when i have had to be stationed overseas or deployed to the desert (afganistan) I put more infor under school for my classmates if you would like to read.
The only update I have for this is I am having lower back surgery on 2Feb2006, were they will be fusing the lower 3 vertabrae. I hurt my back in Afganistan in Sept of 2003.
Well here is the latest after 2 deployments to the desert and getting hurt in a convoy I am being medically retired. I have years in the service now and with a fused back i just cant do my job any more. I am going to reallly miss it. Pray for, please
School
I dont know what to say about WHBA but that i loved the time i was there and the only regret that I have is that I was unable to graduate with my friends for over 6 years. I guess the only thing that I have never told anyone at WHBA that you should know is why I left my senior year at christmas and didnt play football that year. My parents couldnt afford to send me to WHBA so my grandparents wanted me to have the best education I could and paid for my Jr High years. I had to pay for all of my high school years if i wanted to stay at WHBA, which i did. My senior year i ran out of money for my school and hoped that by working during football season i could afford to graduate with my classmates. So i didnt play football. transfer. That is the only regret i have from high school. But the education and the lessons that i learned from there have caried me to great things in my life. I had the time of my life at WHBA and hope to reconnect with some of you soon. I just want to say that attendeng MHS was a great experience also. They welcomed me with open arms and the basketball team was great. Practicing with them and them trying to get me on the team was on experience that i will never forget.
College
just about to graduate with BA in Business Management. Just need 12 more hours. It took awhile but with the military it can be a little harder. Better late than never. Hope to continue on to get my Masters.
Workplace
My work carrer has been and interesting one. I did 9 years in the military and then got out and bought a franchise (Brakes Plus) in Colorado. That was awesome the 4 years I had it. I sold the franchise and returned to active duty in the Airforce in 2002. That is where i currently am and stationed in San Antonio TX.
Military
Not sure what to write. I have been in the military over 12 years with a 6 year break. I have been to the desert (afganistan) I have been to south and central america. I have traveled europe. and most of the USA. I was stationed in Colorado where I will probably retire from the military at. I started in the Army for 9 years and now im in the Airforce. I have loved every day of it. I didnt do it for the money. I didnt it for ME my FAMILY and my COUNTRY. I will continue to do it until they say I have to retire.
