William's Story
After CCHS I went to Columbia Univ in NYC for a degree in Mechanical Engineering. From there it was off to the Air Force for Pilot training. I flew the T-33 in Rome, NY, F-16s in FL, TX, and a year in Egypt, then an exchange tour with the US Navy in Meridian, MS. Then it was on to the EF-111 in Clovis, NM before the F-117 in Alamogordo, NM. My last tour was instructing in the T-37 at Sheppa...Expand for more
rd AFB in TX. I retired in Wichita Falls, TX after 26 years of service to teach aircraft simulators to the NATO pilot training program at Sheppard. I have two children. My daughter graduated from UNH in 2007 and my son is currently studying his year-abroad in Dublin Ireland. In April of 2012 my first book "Stealth Fighter: A Year in the Life of an F-117 Pilot" was released by Zenith Press.
