William's Story
Kind of a long story but after leaving AHS and Manhattan Beach went in the Army. Did not get picked for VN but went to Korea. I was lucky. Came back to Manhattan in '67, went to work for United Airlines, married a flight attendant, had two children, divorced. Not fun but did the best I could. Did some odd jobs away from the airlines but went back. I went to school to get my aircraft mechanics license which I did, got a job in the Marshall Islands (Pacific Missile Test Range. came back and worked in Santa Barbara for two years, left there and went to work for American Airlines at LAX (lived in El Segundo). After American, lived in Mammoth Lakes for two years as station manager for another airline. Left there and spent six months in South Africa as instructor on Boeing 747's. After that moved to Dayton Ohio for an...Expand for more
other airline, spent some time there and went to Indiana with the same airline. Worked for the FAA in Albuquerque NM for a year as accident investigator. On the road again and moved to Ft. Lauderdale and was involved in starting a new airline (Airtran Airways) (was director of QA) and after that moved to Seattle and started another airline which failed....too bad.....and then moved to Winnipeg Canada for 3 years as Sr. Quality Control person for America West. After 911 they moved us all out and I went to work for another company (can't say the name) in Las Vegas working for the government. And now, working for Bombardier/Lear jet in Wichita, KS in engineering. I have spent time in France, Germany, Portugal, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina and even Peru.
Wow, if it were not for flashbacks I could'nt remember it all.
