William's Story
I felt compelled to dust off the OU uniform and relive the glory days recently: I would have started for Switzer in the wishbone backfield of '72 with Greg Pruitt and Joe Wiley had I not been clipped by the Sooner Schooner in the tragic Media Day incident. It left a mark - on my memory of events.
I live in the Texas Hill Country, 25 miles north of San Antonio and 60 miles southeast of Austin with the love of my life, my wife Rebecca. As I sit at my desk in my "man-cave" over my garage, I have a view down a verdant valley to Canyon Lake. There is no better place to hang your hat in Texas than the Hill Country.
We have one heroic son, Brett, who is an US Army recruiter with one deployment in Iraq, a wonderful daughter-in-law, Angela and - I save the best for last - an 18 month old grandson, Bret Robert, aka, "Boo Boo Bear."

I have lived in the SA/Austin Corridor area since 1983, first coming here as a cable telivision contractor. After the "Texas Recession/Savings & Loan" period, I left cable to get into home building, first the custom market and later as a project manager for DR Horten and a VP of Construction for a regional builder, Armadillo Homes. When the market collapse began in the middle of 2007, I, like many, had to find something else to do. I decided that energy efficiency was only going to become more critical part of the construction business so that is why I have been in the spray foam insulation business for the last 2 1/2 years.
It has been a wonderful ride.
