William's Story
After graduating from Clinton in 1963, I spent one year at Brooklyn Community College before going on to Morgan State College in Maryland. I graduated from Morgan in 1968 with a BA in History and Political Science. My last three years at Morgan I had been awarded an R.O.T.C. scholarship, consequently upon graduation I was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant and call to active duty. I spent the next two years on active duty at several duty stations including the Republic of Vietnam.
Upon discharge from active duty I went into the Medical and Pharmaceutical sales and marketing field. I went back to graduate school at Wayne State University in Michigan for a Masters Degree in Business. I spent the next 20 years working for Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson before starting company in 1990 with a partner. it base into a national and international market. Unfortunately my partner past this life in 2001 just as we reached some of the goals we set out to achieve. After that point the business which had became my passion became just a business. In 2004 I sold the company to a larger manufacturer and distributor in the industry and retired from the business.
I have been blessed with three wonderful children. All of them have gone on to college. My oldest a girl has been working for the federal government in Washington D. C. My oldest boy has opened a restaurant in Miami and the youngest is a special education teacher. My wife and I are the proud grand parents of seven,
My wife and I have sold our home in southern Michigan and live eight months of the year on the island of St. Kitts in the West Indies and the rest of the year in Northern Michigan. We are enjoying our lives as teachers and volunteer workers on a variety of community projects.
