William (Billy)'s Story
Life
After leaving college in 1991, I found my nitch in life, which was the USAF. I am career military, and have been stationed and/or deployed all over the world. I don't think that I'll ever be able to stand a job that's 9 to 5 or requires me to be in a suit. I do own a small farm in TN where I somewhat have roots, but I am currently living in Afghanistan. I am part of a team that is helping the Afghan government and military to re-build. I can think of no other position that I'd rather be in right now. Unfortunately the ...Expand for more
life that I've chosen doesn't allow for much time back home, but we all live with and accept the choices that we make.
Nothing else really unique about me. I hunt, fish, play with my kids and take care of my farm as much as I can when I'm home. My wife puts up with me being gone and definetly keeps me grounded when I'm deployed. She knows that eventually I'll have to retire and after I hang my boots up, she'll have what's left of me all to herself. All in all, I'd say that I've got a pretty good life.
