William's Story
Life since SHHS.
After graduating from SHHS, I went to Pitt and graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree. After graduating from Pitt, I worked almost 3-1/2 years for USSteel. In 1980 I moved to Corpus Christi to work for Celanese Plastics Company for about 1-1/2 years. While visiting cousins who lived in Houston, I met my wife. I moved to Houston in 1981, got married in 1982 and have been working for Bechtel Corp ever since (30+ years). I have 3 k...Expand for more

At Bechtel, I was initially a control systems engineer and then in 1989 I moved to the IS&T department where I am now an IT manager, coordinating data integration between our engineering, procurement and construction database applications. I retired from Bechtel in February 2017 and been living the good life ever since!
Been living in Texas, about 15 miles south of Houston since 1980.
