William's Story
I graduated in May 1968. got my draft notice and 3 weeks later I enlisted in the Air Force. I was sent to Viet Nam by September 1968. I spent 1 year and 2 days over there which was 1 year too long. I was a machinist. I took screws out of everything in Viet Nam. I was moved around Viet nam where ever they needed me. I was sent from Viet Nam to Florida. Eglin Air Force Base. ry my child hood sweet heart Rose Goodman. I did not get caught till I got back to Florida and told the Commander what i had done. I was confined to barracks for 45 days. My new wife had our honeymoon by herself. I have been married for 38 years. I work at Wright Industries as a project manager that has taken me all over the world. I have 2 sons age 33 and 29 and a unmarried daughter of 22. I have 4 beautiful grand children Stormi, T. J, Alexandria and Brooklyn. I live in Hendersonville.
