William's Story
Life
After graduating from HSHS in 1955, I enlisted in the US Air Force. I served as an Air Policeman from 1955 to 1962, and as a Special Agent with the Office of Special Investigations from 1962 to 1968. I was discharged from the AF in 1968, to accept an appointed as a Warrant Officer, US Army. I served as a Special Agent with Military Intelligence until 1980, at which time I retired in grade of Chief Warrant Office (W3)at Huntsville, AL. I gr...Expand for more
aduated from Columbia College in 1979. After retiring from the Army, I worked with TVA. In 1982, I accepted a job with Hughes Aircraft at Canoga Park, CA. We were in California until 1985, at which time we returned to God's country (Huntsville, AL) to work with The Boeing Company, until my retirement in 1994. The former Sammy Hughes(HSHS Class of 1956)and I were married in December 1955. We have two sons, two grandsons and two granddaughters.
