rews still in my ankle), singing professionally in the Oakland Symphony Chorus, the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, plus several years in the San Francisco Opera Chorus, where I participated in an Oscar-winning documentary called "In the Shadow of the Stars" (ahem!). ----the truth being that I was on camera, uncredited, for four seconds, but during those 4 seconds, my face filled the screen, and my voice filled the theater! ;-) Another job I did for seven years, until recently, was to run a snack table at an esl, The English Language Program, in the Extension Division of the Univ. of California, Berkeley. During those seven years, I had the great pleasure of visiting informally with college-age students from all over the world. I felt like I was in the United Nations as it should have been! I still correspond with quite a number of them in Brazil, Germany, Italy, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Turkey, Venezuela, Poland, etc. My interests include going to concerts, singing, participating in liberal religious, social, and political groups and conversations, as well as reading, birding, hiking, doing family history, and international cooking.
