Bill's Story
Graduated Uni High in 1966. Went into the Army in 1967, Vietnam Vet (1968-1969) 199th Lt. Inf. Division.
Married in 1972. One son, born in 1974, one daughter, born in 1975.
Some college, no degree.
Lived in West L.A. (National & Sepulveda) until 1976, moved to Canyon Country in 1976, left in 2005. Since moved to Reno, NV
Had a variety of jobs, warehousing and worked for both the Herald Examiner and L.A. Times.
Had sufficient funds to retire in 2005, and did for two years, became bored (painted many pictures, but it wasn't enough), went back to work in June 2007 as a Manager at a large 3rd party logistics company (350 K square foot warehouse) in Reno, currently still working and liking it.
I still like the 60's music, Bob Dylan, Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, etc., however,...Expand for more
I do like some of the newer music like Eminem and Fat Boy Slim.
I think about high school times occasionally, friends and girl friends that I had. I was in a club called the "Earls". We were rivals of the "Jason's".
Looking forward to the last twenty , maybe more, years of my life, for some reason I reflect, and once in a blue moon dream of people and things that occurred in the 60's, being at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco in January 1967, right before I went into the Army, the first 'Be In' (before concerts, Woodstock and the like), with the Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Buffalo Springfield (Neil Young) and many other great bands, where Dr. Timothy Leary, the LSD guru said, and I saw and heard him, "Turn on, tune in and drop out". Trippy times indeed!
