I ended up with over 30 people interested.The center was over25 years old, and had never put on a play. The stage was a little out of date and I was told I could not get any .funding..With a lot of creativity and dumster diving, we were ready to procede. Ages of t he cast ranged from 55 to 93. I wrote the play, and rewrote the play at least ten times to make everyone happy. I then directed the play and after many problems, finally we were ready for two afternoon performances. The Senior Center put up about 25 seats and copied about 25 programs. Well, over 1000 people showed up for the friday show and over 800 for the Saturday show. The office did not figure all the .family members, their children, grand children, friends, and everyone else they knew from al their many years. By far the best feeling I ever had. Finally, I am a cancer survivor , had a toe amputated, and inbetween all all this, I owned a cocktail lounge. for 8 year All in all, an interesting 50 years.
