William's Story

Following CHS, I earned a BA at the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. Then I went to Ohio State Medical School for one year and then earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry at Ohio State University. I accepted a thermodynamics research position at Texas A&M University (TAMU) in College Station, Texas, and taught courses in Safety Science for the Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center at TAMU. I then developed an interdisciplinary course in Probabilistic Risk Analysis, which I teach to seniors during Fall semester and graduate students during Spring semester and also to distance learning ...Expand for more
students earning advanced degrees or risk managers from industry. While at TAMU I became a musician on Dulcian, Baroque Bassoon, and Violone for several ensembles in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston, Texas. Also, I co-founded Friends of Chamber Music, which sponsors free chamber music concerts and musical outreach presentations in the community of nationally and internationally lauded ensembles and musics in the Community Chamber Concerts series, now in its 22nd season with offerings detailed on our website, <communitychamberconcerts.org>. I have a wife and two sons, 20 and 17.
