William's Story
I graduated from Dormont High in 1949 and then studied machine design at a Penn State Extension. One December night in 1950, I went to Murphy's 5 & 10 cent store on Potomac Avenue and I found that Doreen Polito (DHS 1952) was working there. nnie and Alan and later I received my Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Carnegie Institute of Technology. In 1971 we moved to Wisconsin where we had 5 grandchildren and 6 grear-grandchildren. Last year, tradgety struck when Doreen had a heart attack and underwent emergency open heart multible by-pass surgery. Then 26 days later I lost my million dollar baby from the 5 & 10 cent store.
