William's Story

Life I've been married for 17 years now , as of April 9th to a great girl by the name of Connie. We have no children but do have 2 cats and a parakeet. Its an interesting combination to say the least! I did work for the state of Texas at our local State hospital for over 10 years but due to a false accusation by a female patient, not only did I have to resign , I was convicted of sexual assault. In Texas the patients word is gold regardless of their behavior patterns like this 21 year old had demonstrated and I refused to bend a rule for her so I was retaliated on and labled a sex offender at age 42. I was placed on 5 years probation in Nov 98 and sucessfully completed without any problems(unless you count the 2 warnings I got for speeding during that period). My probation officer thought it was odd that my record was totally clean till age 42 , and so did I , LOL . My wife and I live in her house which she owns free and clear since her grandfather willed it to her in 1976. We have spent over $40,000.00 fixing it up since getting married in 1988. That includes the $23,000.00 we went in debt for last summer to have siding ,insulation ,new gas filled windows and new entry doors and heavy duty storm doors. Summers here in north Texas are brutal for sure. We live 8 miles south of Vernon, Texas in Lockett community. It used to be a "company town" with housing for the employees of the huge cotton gin owned by a relative of my wife whose maide...Expand for more
n name happens to be Lockett just like the communities name. I am disabled now and Social Security has officially acknowledged that I am disabled and just in the last couple years theY changed my classification to retired. I dont feel bad about getting my monthly check because I worked 30 years paying into Social Security. My wife works at the state hospital in the food service dept and has since 1983. We met in 1987 when I went to work in the food service dept and after 9 months we got engaged. The 9 months is a coincidence as she didn't allow any hanky panky till we got married. I suffer from type 2 diabetes, diabetic neuropathy, high B/P , cholesterol, arthritis , major depression (which i have been hospitalized in a private mental hospital in 1998 for a week because of suicidal thoughts also). I take 11 prescription meds and about 6 vitamins daily for a total of 31 pills daily. I'm only 49 and I guess I'm pretty well living on borrowed time dont you think?? Sometimes I wish I wouldn't wake up so my wasted life would be over, but I will not do anything on purpose to end my life. My week in the mental hospital gave me a close look at how other patients relatives did take their own life and it just totally messed them up , probably for life. I'll not put my friends and family through that just because I screwed up my life. Thats not fair to them. Anyway , I guess thats my life story or pretty close to it LOLOLOLOL .Thanks for listening !!
