Hi, I'm Bill, this doesn't seem right telling a story about myself, but then how would you know me? I hope I don't bore any one. This is my journey and a little of what brought me back home. These days I try to live a quiet and peaceful life. After graduation I joined the Marines,I wanted to see the world... I did. I began my career as a Marine rifleman,a"grunt". I was a machine gunner and an expert with small weapons. Later I went for the adventure program, by that I mean Battalion Reconnaissance after more training promotions and parachute and scuba and lots of other skills, got into Force Reconnaissance Company, 2nd Marine Division, and many more combat units. I was deployed a lot, sailed on more ships than some sailors, the Mediterranean Sea a few times saw southern Europe , northern Africa. East Africa, several countries in Central America, all over the far east , through out the Pacific in and around the South China Sea, and into the Indian Ocean. I'm not mentioning all the countries. I was assigned to 2 embassies in Central America and another embassy in Africa. I participated in combat in Grenada, recovered fallen Marines,some whom I trained with... that broke my heart.
