William's Story
After graduation in 68 i enlisted` in the navy and left for boot camp in July. Went to Engineman "A "school also in Great Lakes,IL. Went to Guam for 18 months and then orders to Coronado ( San Diego) Ca. for survival training prior to going to Vietnam. Dec 1971. Enlisted in the Naval Reserves. My last 10 years in the reserves was spent on Minesweepers. Retired from the reserves in may 1992 after several tours of active duty including Desert Shield/Storm. Made Chief in Sept 1986 .Moved to Maine in October of 1974 and have lived there ever since. I was Glad to come on to this site to keep in touch with other members of the class of 1968!
