Terrie's Story
I moved to Southwest Florida in 1984. I have two sons, 22 and 16 and a grand-daughter.
I always wanted to be a journalist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I have worked in banking, title insurance, real estate and for the Florida Legislature.
I think people will remember me as a quiet and shy person. I did not have many friends in high school because most of my friends had already graduated.
I love to go to the beach to relax or read.
I think the wildest thing I ever did in school was to smoke *#% next to the football field, regularly.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Steve (can't remember his last name but he sat behind me in Mr. Ship's class), because he said if he could, he would take me to the prom. My own boyfriend never asked me. I don't think Steve ever knew how special he made me feel. Steve lived off of Charleston just south of Pecos.

favorite reality show is Survivor. If I could, I would love to go on the show. I would probably get kicked off by the third day.
If I could see one teacher again it would be Mr. Oakes. He taught me more about myself than any other teacher. What an inspiration!
If I won $100 million, I'd give $300,000.00 of it to St. Jude, then spend the rest on my kids, myself and my friends.
My oldest friend is Linda. She is still in Vegas but we have been friends thru thick and thin. We have both lost our moms, had kids, been through divorces and all that live had to throw at us. We accept each other for who we are and go with it.
I think the thing about me that would surprise everyone at a class reunion is that I would show up and that I don't even look anything like I did when I was in high school.
My first job was at a law office, where I got paid almost nothing to answer the phone. What I remember most about it is the senior attorney sexually harassed me.
I've come a long way since those days...learned a lot and have a lot to learn.
