Willie's Story
I left P.R. in the fall of 65 when we moved to Ellesworth A.F.B, Rapid City, S.D. Stayed there until 66 when we move on to my parents home town of Sioux City, Ia. Gaduated from Sioux City Central in 67 and attended college in Sioux City to become a math teacher. Dropped out in 69 to join the good old A.F.
I spent a year in training in Rantoul Ill. and spent the rest of my tour working in the electronics lab for Minuteman missiles. Dropped out the the AF in 72 to attend college again. In 73 my lovely ex-wife (glad that over) and I had our first child, so I thought I had better get a real job and since ther was more money in electronics,I became gamefully employed with Xerox in Rapid City in 73. I divorced in 76 and ment my lovely wife DeDe, of 26 years. I recieved custody of my 3 children in 76, my wife had 4 kids from her first marriage and for some un-goddly reason, we thought we should have one between us giving us 8 is to many. our boys and four girls. The kids are all grown (at least they say so) the youngest being 25 and the eldest 36. We have 18 wonderful grandchildren spread everywhere, so we don't get to see them enough.
I hope to retire in 3 years providing the market doesn't kill me first. I want to begin playing more golf, partying to much (which I already do), enjoying outdoor sport, being outdoors, racing (stock cars), and building my own house, again. Its amazing what you learn having all those kids.
If anyone ever comes to Rapid City and the Black Hills, be sure to get in touch. I really enjoy meeting new friends and refreshing old friendships. I have a little property in the woods, so if you enjoy motor homing or camping, get in touch and stop on in.
