Willo's Story
Life
After leaving Redwood I went directly to NYU where I studied acting via the Strasberg Institutue. Tons of strange, intense drama studies intermingled with regular course work. I remained in a relationship with Jonathan Belcher (also class of '81) through all of college, taking many a midnight train to CT where he was enrolled. Started a theater company upon graduation called NRG. We performed all over Manhattan. I then moved to LA in 1990 where I began working on movies in a variety of capacities. Large and small budgets. All departments. I directed a bizarre featurette called FAIRIE and another reality type endeavor called THE LAST DAY SERIES. After 15 long years in Hollywood I have now returned to Mill Valley, where I am currently preparing to direct my first feature film, CLARE, in SF. Married in July 2007 to ...Expand for more

School
I adored high school. The variety of people. The classes. The structure. The parties. My fondest memories are walking barefoot to classes (when we lived directly behind Redwood and all I had to do was cross the football field). When it would rain and only the peak of Mt. Tam was visible through the fog. And doing plays in the The Little Theatre. My favorite teacher was Mr. Skjelbred. His creative writing classes are a forever memory for me. Also, getting extremely silly with my best friend, Michelle (we shared an odd sense of humor, still do). And staying up before falling asleep thinking of all the exchanges me and whatever boyfriend I had at the time exchanged that day. Pondering various scenarios with my pals. Dreaming big dreams. Waking up slowly.
