Winston's Story
Workplace
After high school I spent some time at Mesa and Grossmont College. Went a couple of years to SDSU and Cal Poly Pmona, majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering respectively. I finally got a BS in Computer Science from National University and a Masters in Information Technology from American InterContinental University in Atlanta. During my on and off times in college, I worked as a graphics coordinator assistant (MTDB 1977-78), graphics coordinator (PRC Toupes Corp.1978-79), construction inspector (San Diego Testing Engineers 1980-82, Construction Labs 1983-84, Kercheval and Associates 1984-88 and American Engineering Labs 1988-89). ot married and moved to Atlanta where I worked as a soil and concrete technician for eight months before getting a job in Charleston SC as a programmer for Blackbaud MicroSystems. After a year I was back in Atlanta and working for Panduit of Georgia Identification Products as a software technician. That went on from 1990-2001 during which time I started grad school, got divorced and joined a startup SoluCam Microsystems LLC. I came back to San Diego in 2001-2002 and eventually got a job with The Sutherland Group as a help desk technician supporting Gateway Computers in 2003. From there I went to MILVETS in 2004-2005 and then to Telcom Network Team where I worked as a software engineer. I'm now with Navmar Applied Sciences as a Software Enginner and married again to Wendy whom I met in junior high and lived up the street and around the corner. I have no children of my own, but have gained a son, daughter and granddaughter. We live in the Skyline/Encanto area.
