More about Wymon:"GOD is Good all the time.... Hello Facebook Family, old friends and new friends..... I am a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I grew up in a neighborhood known as Southern Heights. In a sense I grew up like other kids around me with similar paths. My mother and father believed in education and so the path that was laid out for me was to finish high school and go to college and then get a job and spend the rest of my life workking, raising children and paying bills. I remember right before I graduated from high school my daddy came to me and had me sign this document. I didn't think to look and see what it was because he had come to me in this manner many times before. Well, this time, he had me sign an application to begin college a month after I gradrauted from high school. I actually wanted to take the summer off and start college in the fall. You know since the summer of 1981 the only time I have had off, from work or school, was when I was laid off for a year in 2002. If my daddy would have left my life up to me I probably would have been singing in some music group because I was actually asked to be one of the singers in a group that was trying to get started at Southern. Hey, I also remember that I had begun auditioning for a role in the, Baton Rouge born, musical "Supper" when they decided to take the show on the road to Los Angeles. My dad told me NO on both accounts and said that I had to stay in school. You know I really don't know what would have happened if I had pursued those ventures. So there I was a computer programmer with IBM, at the time the ...Expand for more
largest company in the world. At that time I felt this was the beginning that was to be a liftime of financial success and happiness. But there was another side to me that for some reason I liked exploring. Without getting into too many details I considered it to be the fun life. There were lots of people to engage and have fun with and it lured me in like waving a plate of spare ribs around in front of a fat kid. How many of you know that if it wasn't fun then I wouldn't even GO THERE, but, to me, it was fun and I went there. It suckered me in for many years and it was more fun because I had moved away from Baton Rouge, so none of my family or friends had to know anything about what I was doing. OH BUT GOD KNEW!!! and HE was in on every little episode. I maintained my jobs but outside of work I was not the professional GEEK computer programmer I aspired to be and not the budding entrepreneur I wanted to be either. Too make a long story short as a result of many trials and challenges I made a conscious decision to get away from that life and I have had fleeting moments where I returned back to remnants (meaning the people I hung out with) of that life but for the most part I was done with it. Don't get me wrong it was not an easy decision I had to get help from a lot of good people along the way and to each and every one of you I PRAISE YOU and THANK YOU. GOD planted each of you in my life and for that I am very grateful. Even the people that had a negative impact on my life I am not faulting or downing you I thank you for the part you played. Everyone helped guide my decision to get away from that life. GOD has been working with me the whole time. I tried a life that didn't work for me and I am, still today, paying for it in more ways than one. This has been a slow christian walk because my flesh wants me to go back to the stupid way of living but I believe that GOD has a calling on my life. I know my story is a common story but its the only one I got. I am very thankful to my MOTHER for being there for me. GOD allowed her to be here for me as she has been for so many others..... I don't know what to expect about what GOD has in store for me but it will definitely be better than what I have given myself. GOD Bless All of You!!!!".
