Yolanda's Story
After high school I went into the army for 10 years. I served two tours in Germany and every time I came back to the states I was sent to some place in Texas. So, after I got out of the service I moved from El Paso, TX to Houston, TX to go to truck driving school. I thought that was what I wanted to do because I was so use to moving around from being in the service. After I completed truck driving school number one in my class, I realized that I did not want to rely on someone else to pay my bills while I was on the road. So I gave up on that ideal. rs and worked my way up to Human Resource Manager where I was in charge of the HR and PR departments. I left their six years ago when me and my best friend opened a business directory that caters to the up-scale gay and lesbian consummer called the Gay & Lesbian Rainbow Pages. I live and work in Pearland, TX which is just south of Houston, TX and just a month ago I convinced my little brother who is not gay to come here from Pontiac and run my distribution for us. I am on track to have a very diverse successful company where all people will love to come to work straight and gay.
