Yvette's Story
What's up NORTHWEST CLASS OF 80, this is Yvette. Most of you know me from playing sports at the WEST. My favorites sport was BASKETBALL, on the team with Robon Dorris, Lillian and Irene Strickland, Ivette Farmer, Vanessa and Viola. I can remember it like it was yesterday, running through the halls, clowning and FISH FRIDAY. Skipping classes the the restroom, yeh you know what I'm talking about. Well,those days are gone I went on to to Harris-Stowe college along with some of the people that I mention above but had to transfer from there or else I would never had graduated from college, I eventually graduated from Miss...Expand for more
ouri Valley College in August, 1985 and joined the United States Army in September of 1985 until September of 1989. I exit active duty and continue my military duty until 1994 in the Army reserves. LOVED those trips to GERMANY. I became an Correctional officers in 1992 where I'm still employed until this day at the St. Louis County Justice Center. It's not as bad as it sounds, actually at times it can be very interesting. I have two daughters, and still live in the City of St. Louis.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
