Hi, After graduating from Osseo High in 1966, I attended and graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 1970. My majors were speech/theater and art. I also got my certification in education. 2 weeks after I graduated, I married Gene Kroll who was a partner in a new restaurant in Bismarck. Gene spent 33 years in the restaurant business as a owner, manager and kitchen manager and chef. He's a great cook and it shows on me!!!!! I was a classroom teacher for 9 years in Bismarck at Bismarck High and Century High. I left and joined the world of retail, commercial sales and public relations ending up as Director of Volunteer Services at Medcenter One in Bismarck, ND Later I became the Foundation Executive Director. Medcenter One is a regional Health System with corporate offices in Bismarck. I was recruited to Sanford MeritCare Foundation in 1998 in Fargo as Director of Major and Planned Gifts. In 2009 I was recruited to Dickinson, ND as Foundation Director for St. Luke's Home and Park Avenue Villa. I have spent the majority of my working life in Healthcare Philanthropy and have asked lots of folks, foundations and businesses for money, as well as in-kind donations. You get to meet a lot of people working in philanthropy and I have a wide variety of friends and family located through-out the country. Dickinson is located in the heart of oil and gas activity in North Dakota. There is very low unemployment here and it can be difficult to find a place to live.
