Yvonne's Story
Life
Hello everyone, my maiden name is Yvonne Blankenship. After living in Tucson for 3 yrs., I moved back to West Virginia in 1968 when I was 15.... leaving all my new found friends. I had to start over making new friends and finding some of my old friends that I had left behind (not an easy thing to do when you are basically shy).
I later got married, had 2 children. A few yrs later I went to college.....receiving a 2 yr. associates degree in sociology. I've had a couple of satisfying jobs but now I just enjoy staying home and helping out with the grandchildren (when you're young....you just can't imagine having grandchildren - I posted their photos on here.)
I've been a Christian for 34 yrs now and can't see living any other lifestyle.
I hope to contact some of the friends I made in Tucson for those 3 brief yrs.....just to say hi and say that I think of you from time to time and enjoy fond memories of my life there.
UPDATE: I've had over 400 hundred visitors to my site. I've found several of my friends from my time in Tucson....and waiting for several others to get the time to contact me. And, I'm still looking for some of the others....just t...Expand for more

School
I attended Sunnyside school for 3 yrs, (1965-68 7th, 8th & 9th grades) Sunnyside Jr. High for 2 yrs and then to SS High School for 1 year. I made many friends that, to this day, I have fond memories. I was torn when my mother told me we would be leaving to return back east.
I have my yearbook from the final year there (1968) when I was 15 yrs old. I have posted on here the 2 photos of me in my 1968 yearbook. When I look at my yearbook, I'm in a time warp.....I remember YOU as being 15, 16 or 17 yrs old.....I CANNOT picture you as you would look today....no matter how hard I try.
I've thought of my classmates and friends OFTEN throughout the years and have been thinking more and more of those days recently.....wondering how everyone did in life, where you are these days.
I'd like to find the girls I cheered with just to say hi, they are Carol Cuccio, Patsy Leyva, Dana Ezell, Cindy Hunnicutt, and Terri Haag,I sure would like to hear from some of them. Just curious if there was ever a 1971 class reunion.
