Yvonne's Story
Life
After high school, I left the city to go to college in the country where I met my husband. We are married fourteen years and have two children and two dogs. I am always on the go as I was in high school. The only difference is now I am involved in school education politics, which I never though I would do. It is very rewarding when you are helping children at a young age.
I still keep in touch with my best friends, even though we live in different states. It is good to know that I have few places to go when I want a reprieve from NY.

r who inspired me the most was Mr. Zinn. He had alot of energy and made science very interesting and if you didn't understand it, he would break down to simplicity. I have used his techniques while doing my field work with kids and it has been very rewarding.
I am finishing up on teaching degree. I plan to be teaching full-time soon.
Workplace
I work as a administrator for the State of NY. I am parent advocate of a child with Autism. I train educators and parents of how to help children who are affected by the syndrome. Colleagues and friends call me the source of Autism.
