Zandra's Story
Life
Class of 1972. Left Chicago in August of 1972 for basic training in the military (Aniston, Alabama-Ft McClellan), went to Russian School in Montery, California. Briefly stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Got Married and received orders to Fort Meade, Maryland (Baltimore). Got out of the service, husband received orders to Templehof, Germany (Berlin). After Berlin, we moved to Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, (Omaha) Got divorced and remarried. New husband went to Korea for a year and then we moved to RAF Croughton (near RAF Upper Heyford, Great Britain. Husband got out of the Air Force and we settled in Seattle in 1989. In 1992 bought our first house and are happily living near Seattle. I have had many jobs over the years. I have been a Cashier, a Administrative Clerk, a Secretary, a Personnel Specialist, a Security Guard, a Maid, a Supply and Mail Room Supervisor, a Paralegal and a Computer Technician. echnical firms. I have been married twice (The first time for 8 years). I am currently married to my second husband and we have been together for more than 30 years. I have two children, 1 boy and 1 girl. I have 2 grandchildren (1 girl and 1 boy). While I was at Senn, I was in Chours, Drama, Speech, ROTC, the Debating Team, the International Relations Club and the Rifle and Drill Teams. I joined classmates to find some of my friends from Senn and Swift Schools. I have fond memories of Senn and all my friends there. Would love to hear from anyone who went to George Bell Swift School or Nicholas Senn High School from 1964 until 1972. Please email me and I will respond quickly. The things I miss most about Chicago are the museums, the zoo and the store windows at Christmas.
I am currently medically retired from the Military and learning to quilt. I spend many hours a day on my computer and check my emails several times a day. Drop me a line. I will answer all emails.
