Zoe's Story
I always wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. Journalism turned out to be my passion--telling the story in words and photos; promoting the good news of today and recording history for future generations.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a cup of coffee, today's newspaper, and my Blackberry to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My Grandma was and always will be my number one hero. She taught everyone she met about unconditional love--of God, family and country. She had the most common sense of anyone I have ever met and I hope I can be half the wife, mother and (someday) grandmother she was.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen and add on a bigger dining room. As the kiddos grow and bring ...Expand for more
home special people I'd like more room to entertain. My dream home would be right where it is. It's a manageable size and my husband and I are happy there. Of course, being a woman, there is always something to redecorate!
My kids are my best friends--we can and do talk about everything. My kids have taught me to never take anything for granted and to always be open to change. They are wonderfully deep and funny. We get each others sense of humor and I would like them even if they weren't my kids.
If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to help others--the food bank, salvation army, charities that help the underprivileged--then spend the rest on my family, friends and retirement.
In 10 years, I hope to be doing what I do now. I love my job! I. I'm going to get there by being the best at what I do.
