A. William's Story
Life
Born in Philadelphia, PA. Raised in Manoa, Havertown, PA. Enlisted in the Army in early 1943. Served on active duty during WWII and retired from the Reserve as a Major in 1965. (WWII Combat service was in Co. B, 312th Engineer Combat Battalion, 87th Infantry Division, IIId Army under General Patton.) Graduated from the University of Vermont with a BSc degree. Had a professional career in agriculture. Traveled in over 100 countries, business and pleasure. Earned an MSc from Ohio State and a PhD from Cornell.

officer in most of them. Highest position: Department Commander in the Military Order of the World Wars, in California.
Have lived as a civilian in Pennsyvania, Vermont, Ohio, Maryland, New York, Illinois, and California. Have served in the U.S. Army in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Texas, South Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, Georgia, Arizona, California. Massachusetts, New York, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
