Abby's Story
I loved school as most of you might know, especially because I love to learn and I love being with people. Sometimes the only reason I got up in the morning was because I couldn't wait to see some of you. My biggest frustration was not knowing where my education was headed. I couldn't figure out what to do as a career. Everything that required higher education didn't seem to fit the lifestyle I desired to have. As well I had unanswered personal questions that fit into the equation. So I was employed at many jobs (none for long). I've been at a dry cleaners, a grocery cashier, a book store, a clothing store, restaurants, a travel agency, a market research company, and a kitchen design studio. I have been a baby sitter, a taxi driver, a model/ actress, a modelling/makeup teacher, an office temp. Then I had children. I have 6 beautiful and amazing children and now 1 incredible grandson. Since having children I have been a macrobiotic cooking teacher, a retreat cook, an organic gardener ( I have 100 acres and I collect flowers and plants) and a market gardener as well as grew for community shared agriculture. I have volunteered at my childrens schools and taught gardening, nutrition and grade 2's to read. I started a Community Watch in my township. Most recently I volunteered on the local sexual assault crissis line and as a board of director member. As I think about i...Expand for more
t now, during school I also volunteered at Extendacare Nursing Home and with Handicaped children. I also spent the summer when I was 14 looking after a stable and grooming and taking out trail rides with my best friend. I loved that summer.
After my first child I realized I had scoliosis as I could barely get out of bed. The Chiropactor said he could only eliviate my pain and I accepted that for a while. Then I found a yoga teacher and she focused on my back, once a week for 8 weeks and I exercised 4 hours a day and I healed my spine. As well, when I was pregnant (1st) I was extremely malnurished and had numerous degenerative and alergic conditions. My doctor (I am blessed to have found) taught me about Macrobitics and I was able to heal myself from my physical conditions. I am self taught mostly and so learned to take care of my hobby farm including making syrup and selective logging. There is more to the story but I notice I am running out of space. What I am doing now is preparing to create a healing retreat with beautiful gardens, to share knowledge and experience with others and include many teachers so that others can choose to be healthy, and have the life that they desire. I am currently using a wealth creating system that involves helping others to turn my dreams into reality. Please feel free to contact me. I would love to hear your stories.
All the Best, Abby
