jo's Story
Worked for Island Records on Sunset Blvd. and Far Out Production who managed Tayna Tucker and War in the 70's. In 1978 Billboard Magazine hired me and in 1982 Billboard moved me to their headquarters in NYC 44th & Broadway. I left Billboard in 1995 and worked for a bank and lawyer, but was not for me. I landed a job in 1999 with Mendik Realty, Great job! A year later Mr. Mendik asked me if I wanted to manage one of his buildings, 570 Lexington Ave. of course I agreed. The building was the original GE building built in 1931, I was the Site Manager and took care of all the tenants needs and showed space to prospective tenant. It was a great job and loved coming in to work as everyday was different. I loved all my tenants, engineers and security. I was on call 24/7 if there was a problem. speak with my security guards and would head downstairs to his private dining room. Ghost Busters was filmed there and the building was in Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Also, Maid in NY with JLo, she walked across our front door. An HBO series was also filmed in the building, produced by Mick Jagger and Martin Scorcese, Vinyl (HBO). I had a wonderful time running the building but management decided I should retire in 2016. Didn't know where to go, I didn't want to move back to N. Hollywood. My best friend moved to New Mexico, and suggested I check out Tucson Arizona. I visited twice and the second time was October 2016 I spent 7 days and found a home with a beautiful view of the Santa Rita Mts. I am so happy here with my Yorkie, Bently. I also just became a license Real Estate agent here in S. Arizona. So, if you'd like to live in the #1 retirement community of Green Valley, AZ, I'll find you a home. If you love to golf this is the place for you.
