Adriana's Story
Life
After High School, I attended Villanova University (1993-1997) where I received a BS in Biology and Minor in Spanish. Immediately after graduation, I began teaching in Staten Island, New York and fell in love with the profession. I received a Masters degree in secondary education from Seton Hall University and a certificate in information technology (2000). The end of the year 2000 and beginning of 2001 marked the beginning of a new journey for me. I moved to Miami, Florida. My first year in Miami was exciting, challenging, and quite scary. Miami that I met my husband of six years. Javier and I have a beautiful, precious daughter named Daniella who is a constant joy in our lives. Currently, she is in kindergarten (2008-2009)and loves school as much as her mommy does. I teach AP Biology and Anatomy & Physiology Honors at a high school in Coconut Grove. Every time I dissect with my students I remember our senior year Anatomy class and share all of my fond memories with my students. They get a big kick out of my stories! I am also in charge of an international volunteer service organization that lends a helping hand to those less fortunate, especially children.
On August 1, 2008, Lucas Javier was born. Our family is now complete. I count my blessings each day.
