Adrianne's Story
Hard to believe how many years have passed since graduating from High School. What have I done since then? Well, I first attended Montgomery College for two years and got an A.A. in Computer Science. I then transferred to the University of Maryland where I graduated in 1988 with a B.S. degree in Computer Science. While at Maryland, I worked part-time at the Supreme Council in DC. Immediately after graduating from Maryland, I accepted a job with the Statistics of Income Division of IRS and have been working there ever since. As part of my job, I travel 4 to 5 times a year to Ogden, Utah which is my home away from home.
In my 20's and early 30's I enjoyed doing a lot of hiking while out west. My favorite place to hike and photograph while out west was Bryce Canyon, UT. If you've never been there, put it on your "Bucket List". I also spent every vacation going somewhere new. I traveled to London, Switzerland, Italy, St. Lucia, St. Johns, Bahamas and Cozomel Mexico. ribbean. In the fall of 1990, I took a SCUBA class through Montgomery County and got certified. I then went in Feb. 1991 with 5 other dive buddies to Carnival in Trinidad and Tabago. It was a trip of a life time. We spent two weeks there, the first week in Tabago diving 1-2 dives a day and then the second week in Trinidad attending Carnival.
I am still very involved in my church. I have played in two different Handbell Choirs over the years and continue to play in the Adult Reformation Handbell Choir. Since 1990, I have been the church¿s volunteer paymaster and have served on the Finance Committee. For twenty years, I held a commercial drivers license and served as a volunteer bus driver for the church.
Although, I have never married and have no children, I do have two nieces who I enjoy spending time with and a cat and rabbit, which I adopted. In the last several years, I've not traveled much except for business travel. I've been more tied down due to aging family, pets and work. I guess this comes with age. Well, that about sums it up for now.
