Alan Andrew's Story

Do you remember of me? Did we know each other? If so, PLEASE take the time to say HELLO! So, Friends, here's the basic story: I started out at Shamrock Gardens Elementary through 1st and 2nd grades, then we moved and I went to Park Road Elementary for 3rd and 4th grades. Then we moved again and I went to Cotswold Elementary for 5th and 6th grades. (Notice a pattern developing here?) As a side note, my parents separated and eventually divorced due to my Mom's alcoholism. Back in those days, people didn't talk about it- they just dealt with it. Anyway.... I went to Randolph Junior High for 7th, 8th and three quarters of 9th grade, then we moved (again) and I finished 9th grade at Cochrane Junior High. From there I went to Garinger High for 10th and 11th grades, but we moved (AGAIN!) and I spent my senior year at East Mecklenburg. This is a real easy way to lose all the...Expand for more
friends you knew, which was very much my case. After graduating from East Meck, I started an overly-serious study of electronics at CPCC, along with extension courses in broadcast electronics. After college, I enlisted in the US Air Force and after technical training in Mississippi, I wound up at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, Montana. After the Air Force, I returned to Charlotte and had a career as an electronics technician, business owner and semi-professional musician. Currently, I do post-production audio editing from a home studio as well as work as an audio engineer, producer and session musician for one of the local recording studios, and I occasionally do hired-gun electronics work (on call).
